PRLog - May 12, 2014 - Music and Arts at Trinity Episcopal Church will present the acclaimed Newark Boys Chorus (Newark, NJ) during the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Under the direction of Donald Morris, the chorus will perform a special choral prelude at 10:15 a.m. and render special selections during the offertory. Among the chorus' most famous alumni is the acclaimed countertenor and noted baroque music specialist Derek Lee Ragin.

ABOUT THE NEWARK BOYS CHORUS AND SCHOOL:
"The Newark Boys Chorus School (NBCS) is a unique independent day school located in Newark, NJ. Founded in 1969, the school provides a rigorous academic and musical education to young men from the greater Newark area in grades five through eight. The chorus has been heard throughout the world, performing a diversified repertoire that includes traditional classical music, spirituals, folk music and jazz. NBCS has performed at renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
ABOUT MUSIC AND ARTS AT TRINITY CHURCH: Music and Arts at Trinity Church is a revived series of concerts and performances that enhance the worship expereince of the church's cultural activities. Recent presentations include performances of Fauré's Requiem, Handel's Messiah and Dubois' "The Seven Last Words by The Trinity Chancel Choir.
