fluidOps Presents Semantic Augmented Reality Application at ESWC 2014

WALLDORF, Germany - May 12, 2014 - PRLog -- fluid Operations will present the Conference Explorer, an augmented reality (AR) application that runs on Google Glass, at the Extended Semantic Web Conference (ESWC) 2014 from 25 - 29 May on the Greek island of Crete. The tool for semantic data integration in the context of professional events is based on the Information Workbench, the semantic integration platform of fluidOps.

Building knowledge and networks

With the Conference Explorer, ESWC attendees can view conference data with semantic links to information from social networks and other public data sources on Google Glass. This AR application provides attendees relevant, personalized information based on the given situation. The application recognizes different scenarios, calculates suggested actions for conference planning and social networking, and provides additional, optional information – all without the person having to request it explicitly. Based on the previous interaction history as well as the current time, location and program, attendees will receive personalized recommendations for ongoing sessions at the conference. The AR application also displays discussions in social networks as additional information on Google Glass. In addition, ESWC attendees can collect, tag and publish photos that have been taken with Google Glass and released during the conference.

Further expert contributions from fluidOps

fluidOps is also shaping the ESWC program with two further program contributions. In a hands-on presentation, the company’s experts will describe a user study that examines the most suitable processes for mapping relational and semantic data. As part of the PROFILES workshop, they will also explore the topic of search and exploration in the “Web of Data” from a scientific perspective.
