Follow on Google News | Design Experts Forrest & Jones Move Their Lancashire HQ To Manchester City CentreBy: Forrest & Jones Ltd And the owners and occupiers of the building were so impressed by the impact of the striking new look that they offered Forrest and Jones the chance to relocate their own HQ into the building. “We were really pleased to be asked and agreed to move in as soon as possible,” said Forrest and Jones director Mark Forrest, speaking from the company’s former home at Broughton near Preston, Lancashire. “We had been delighted to take on such a prestigious project in the heart of Manchester because we had long felt that the city would make an ideal base for a company like ours. The opportunity to move our HQ to 53 King Street could not have come at a better time. “We were ready for the move and we really appreciate the fact that our new home city is also the base for a number of leading architects and designers, many of whom we would love to work with,” added Mark. “Our brief for 53 King Street was to create seamless wallpaper that would give the interior of this fabulous building a striking and unique look. Well once we saw the building itself we decided that there were elements of the exterior design which could provide a very positive impact on the interior of the building. “We then began creating some unique seamless wallpaper featuring the handsome exterior stonework that makes 53 King Street such a striking building. We also created seamless wallpaper featuring a detailed drawing of the entire King Street building.” Now Mark and his fellow directors are looking forward to getting to know some of the city’s designers, architects and wallpaper designers to swap notes and discuss future projects. “Forrest and Jones have come a long way since our launch in 2012,” said Mark. “We’re now introducing new products into the market place. Products like Magolamania, a unique magnetic design system that can transform a wall into an aesthetically pleasing surface for kids and SwitchScene, a new magnetic display system which is proving very popular in serviced offices and retail outlets. “Business is booming for us. But I can see our move to Manchester creating even more work.” Despite the office move, Mark intends to remain living in Burscough, Lancashire which will keep him in touch with his business contacts across his native Lancashire.
