HEALTHY PEOPLE, HEALTHY HORSES: Reiki Classes in Saratoga Springs NY - May 17-18

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - May 10, 2014 - PRLog -- On May 17 and 18, Saratoga Reiki Master Susan Hamlin is presenting two workshops on the holistic health care practice of Reiki. Students may sign up for either clinic, or both.

Reiki (pronounced RAY-kee) is a gentle, non invasive Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.

Class Times: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm each day.
Location: Saratoga Springs NY.
Tuition: $160.00 per day, $300.00 for the full weekend.

SATURDAY, MAY 17 - REIKI LEVEL 1.

Learn & practice Usui Reiki for  people. Includes Reiki Level 1 attunement, Level 1 & 2 Student Manual, Reiki Level 1 Certificate.  Small classes allow for relaxed  pace, individual guidance, plenty of practice time giving and receiving the benefit of a full Reiki session.  Prerequisite: None.

SUNDAY, MAY 18 – EQUINE & SMALL ANIMAL REIKI INTENSIVE

Bring the healing power of Reiki's non--invasive energy medicine to your barn, vet practice or home.   In the morning, we will practice Reiki for small animals including geriatric care.  In the afternoon, we’ll visit a local farm to practice Equine Reiki with retired race horses. Participants will have the opportunity to practice advanced energy medicine techniques to address areas of concern. Students will receive certificate of completion. Prerequisite: Reiki Level 1 or above with any Reiki Master, some experience being around horses.  For animal caregivers, veterinarians, vet techs, trainers, body workers, rescue and shelter workers.

To give back to the horses, a portion of Sunday's tuition will be donated to ACTT Naturally, a 501(c)(3) organization based in Washington County NY whose mission is to gently transition Thoroughbreds from racing careers to lead new productive lives.  ACTT Naturally Thoroughbreds assist in a program helping veterans with PTSD.

WHO CAN LEARN REIKI? Reiki  can be easily learned by anyone. Families & friends, nurses and doctors, veterinary professionals.  No previous experience necessary. Under 18 welcome with adult.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:  Susan Hamlin has been practicing Usui Reiki since the 1990s and earned the Usui Master Teacher Level in 1998. Her background includes yoga, mindfulness meditation with Thich Nhat Hanh and animal communication training with animal communication pioneers Penelope Smith and Dawn Hayman. Based in Saratoga Springs near the historic race track, her consulting practice serves an international clientele providing behavioral, performance, holistic and compassionate support for animals of all species.

Susan continues to deepen her understanding of healing as a student of Jock and Ivana Ruddock’s Equine Touch™, Canine Touch™, and VHT for humans, and Eden Energy Medicine.
