PRLog - May 9, 2014 - MOUNT DORA, Fla. -- The Country Club of Mount Dora was presented with a state-wide Communities of Excellence award on May 2 for the best water conservation for large homeowner and condo community. The judges made their decision to honor the Association based on the comprehensiveness and the results of the plan. Country Club of Mount Dora’s multiple initiatives included: 1) a cycle and soak program, 2) matching of precipitation zones, 3) replacement of damaged rain sensors, 4) upgrading spray heads, 5) consolidation of controllers and 6) conducting conservation training for homeowners. The result was the 26 percent reduction in common area outdoor water use and an even more impressive 40 percent decrease in residential water use.

Cal Rolfson, Board President of the Association, had a lot of praise for those who made the water conservation project so successful. “Working with this Board has been a superb experience. Everyone associated with our Board of Directors and committees have been gracious, intelligent and considerate.”
Bobby Douglas, the Community Manager for Country Club of Mount Dora, was also recognized as one of six professionals awarded the prestigious Manager of Excellence award. He joins an elite group of 29 Community Association Managers (out of over 20,000 licensed) throughout Florida to receive this highest award from the Communities of Excellence.
