COLUMBIA, S.C. - May 9, 2014 - PRLog -- Civil Engineering News selected ICA Engineering’s Ms. Jennifer Mustar, PE (Greenville, S.C.) and Mr. Greg Schuch, PE (Columbia, S.C.) as 2014 Rising Stars. The prestigious Rising Star awards recognize 30 individuals,  40 years old or younger working in the United States, who have shown exceptional technical capability, leadership ability, effective teaching or research, or public service benefiting the civil and structural engineering professions, their employers, project owners, and society.

CE News selected Mustar as a Rising Star in Structural Engineering and Schuch as a Rising Star in Civil Engineering.  Editors selected Mustar and Schuch from an impressive group of nominees from both the private and public sectors. Mustar and Schuch are featured online as well as in the April Issue of Civil + Structural Engineer Magazine, a CE News publication.

“This is a career-defining achievement. Jennifer and Greg have sacrificed and worked hard over their careers for this honor, and it is a joy to see that hard work acknowledged and rewarded with this selection. As a company, we are all very proud of Greg and Jennifer, and I am personally proud and honored to work with them both,” said Mark Acuff, president, ICA Engineering.

“ICA Engineering has been blessed with remarkable talent in South Carolina.  CE News chose both of these top notch engineers for the Rising Star award over engineers submitted from across the United States.  I am pleased to work with both Greg and Jennifer, and look forward to seeing the success that is sure to define their future,” said David Beaty, S.C. One project was the first SCDOT project to use high performance steel in bridge girders and included coordination with researchers at the University of South Carolina. Schuch is an active member of the Design Build Institute of America and has represented South Carolina as a consultant representative on the AGC-ACEC-SCDOT Joint Design-Build Subcommittee.
