A1 Management Group’s Director Reflects on Recent Achievements

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. - May 9, 2014 - PRLog -- Andres is A1 Management Group’s talented director of operations. Born and raised in Medellín, Colombia, Andres has valued cultural diversity from a young age. He was also an avid soccer player during his high school years where he grew to love the benefits of teamwork. “While playing soccer, I also learned how crucial it is to be persistent and goal oriented, and even to be competitive in order to work together to reach a big objective.”

Fusing the lessons of his first years, Andres is able to bring an attitude of collaborative teamwork to his company where he joins with people from many different backgrounds every single day. Andres has been able to foster a really harmonious atmosphere for his executives and  has helped them collaborate effectively as a team.

Out of high school, Andres attended the University Of Medellín, Colombia, where he studied corporate communications and earned a degree in communications. This instilled in him a real appreciation for the importance of great communication skills within his firm. As the head of his marketing firm where effective communications are key, his education has been tremendously beneficial.

Eventually Andres moved to Miami, Florida where he studied at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale with majors in hospitality management and culinary arts. When complete, he had earned another degree, this time in hospitality management. During this time, Andres took on many new skills that continue to serve him well today. “Coming from the hospitality industry helped me to understand what work ethic and attitude are all about. I’ve also acquired skills in coaching and advising team members which has been highly valuable in this industry.”

In speaking with Andres, he explained some of the principles and habits he’s learned along the way that have ensured his continued success.

He started by talking about the habit of good goal management. By writing down objectives for each day, he is able to ensure that he makes forward progress all of the time. “It does not matter if you hit every single one. The trick is to write as many as you can every day.”

One of Andres’ early inspirational coaches was Jim R., whose wisdom and life philosophy shaped his early years in business. “From him and several other influential leaders in my life, I learned to value having a strong work ethic and positive attitude, both of which will determine the size of success in life. If you can see the positive side of things no matter what the situation is, you’ll win big.”

Today, Andres also carries core values such as caring for people, honesty, and persistence with him in everything. Perhaps most importantly, Andres credits his commitment to accountability for getting to where he is today, a value he works to incorporate into the tenets of his business. “We are all responsible for the destination of our careers.”

Andres continues to push the boundaries of his field in order to become a leader from whom others seek advice and wisdom. He hopes to continue growing his own business by expanding it to cover several regions, perhaps even building branches in South America. Living by his high-energy motto of, “How you do anything is how you do everything,” he’s sure to get there.
