Ground Floor Marketing Lands Four Tournament Deal with the AYBT

Ground Floor Marketing brings on another national client, American Youth Basketball Tour (AYBT), for the 2014 summer basketball season.

PRLog - May 9, 2014 - LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Louisville, KY – Louisville based marketing and sports media company, Ground Floor Marketing, lands its first major contract of the summer by locking a four tournament deal with American Youth Basketball Tour (AYBT), covering parts of the Kentucky and Indiana markets.

The youth basketball tournaments will start in Bloomington, IN on May 31-June 1st, 2014, then proceed to Jeffersonville, IN on June 7-8, 2014, Louisville, KY on June 28-29 and coming to a close on July 12-13, 2014 in Evansville, IN.  District Director Brian Pearison hired Ground Floor Marketing to handle the marketing, social media, hotel booking, team recruitment, official assigning and location of facilities for each tournament.  Pearison is also the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach for Holy Cross College as well as owner of the semi-pro basketball team, Elkhart Evolution in Indiana.  Ground Floor is using Pearison’s college coaches’ connections as well as their own to recruit NCAA Division II and NAIA coaches to attend the tournaments to scout for their upcoming and future seasons.  Currently, a dozen of coaches have committed to attend tournaments as well as recruiting scouts, ranking services and sporting press.

Though new to the Louisville area, the co-owner powerhouse of David Kelly and Nick Mercurio has been working in sports and marketing for several years, and are credited in helping bring the AAU Nationals to Louisville for the next three years.  Currently, the duo are working on a revitalization of the 100+ year old Louisville Gardens and it is rumored that they already have several partners that have committed in making the project happen within the next 18 months.  “We certainly have the groundwork laid out as to how we can help bring more economic income to downtown Louisville and the historic building by saving it,” states Kelly.  His article, ‘We Need to Tend to Our (Louisville) Gardens’ posted on LinkedIn.com has become a local talking point that has brought community leaders to take a look at the ideas.  “Several people have contacted asking how they can help,” says co-owner Mercurio.   “With the support and outpour of the city, we are certain we can bring life back to a place where basketball, concerts and political rallies were hosted.”
