Catherine Klinger’s New Book Silence Uttered

Ego & Greed Team Up to Destroy the World in Author Catherine Klinger’s New Book Silence Uttered: A Tale of Unity Philosophical verses bend and shape the reader’s mind as characters in a diversified world fight for unity.

May 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Author Catherine Klinger has developed a sweet tale about human nature, told with deliciously clever turns of phrases, which will resonate with all those seeking to live mindfully and spiritually in a material world of seemingly base values.

Klinger’s character, Ego, uses individual differences as a device for dividing and conquering. As the story unfolds, Klinger creates tension by suggesting that differences are a part of nature, and are not, nor need be, inherently divisive, threatening, or destructive.

While her original Unity separates and begins to examine its various parts, and discover conflict among them, the parts themselves, which speak on their own, begin to see how they are a part of each other, defining each other, providing meaning for each other, that they work with one another- resulting in partnership, rather than opposition.

“It took me over thirty years to shape the ‘macro’ view point depicted in the book,” author Catherine Klinger said during a recent interview with Pacific Book Review.

“I wrote the first chapter when I was a young artist trying to escape from conformist society by living in a log cabin in the middle of nowhere. The quiet of the forest continues to influence my perspective of society’s values.”

When asked how she feels the form of verse, rather than prose, contributes to the meaningful conveying of this story she replied, “Works of art spring from the collective unconscious.”  She continued, “The song and dance of the rhymes and rhythms in Silence Uttered awoke me from my dreams. Music connects on a nonverbal level and the verses in this book do the same thing.”

The author is passionate about the complementary nature of commonalities and differences. Excerpts on the paradoxical relationship between unity and diversity are available at  www.silenceuttered.com.
