New Gymnastics Camp offers an Olympic Size Summer!

AVENTURA, Fla. - May 8, 2014 - PRLog -- As summer 2014 approaches, the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center in North Miami Beach will offer as part of their Summer Camp Programming, a brand new era of Gymnastics training and learning which ultimately will kick off the construction and development of their new state-of -the-art gymnastics facility set to break ground this fall.

The all-new Gymnastics Camp at the MAR-JCC’s Camp Sol Taplin will offer professional gymnastics instruction under the guidance of long-time professional Gymnastics Coach and Judge, Marci Kaplan, along with a support staff of high-caliber experienced coaches, instructors, and counselors. “We are taking this camp to an entirely new level,” explains Marci. “We want our summer program to be a platform of gymnastics excellence that will enable campers to transition into our year round program that will be offered in our new world class gymnastics facility,” Marci adds.

Some of the new ideas that will be implemented into the summer camp program will be: Gymnast of the day, rewards for accomplishments, end of the week specialty awards, learning professional routines and performing in an End of Year Gymnastics Meet. Meets will include National Judges scoring routines, performing on all events (floor, balance beam, uneven bars, tumbling). “One of the most key elements of the new camp will be that parents will be able to see their child’s progression throughout the program, and campers will have fun learning,” remarked Jordan Bradley, the MAR-JCC’s Gymnastics Coordinator and Camp Unit Leader.

Additional Gymnastics Camp activities will include conditioning contests, games and prizes, swimming, arts & crafts, field trips to other professional gymnastics studios and training facilities, demonstrations, and more. Gymnastics Camp at the MAR-JCC is offered to boys and girls ages 4 to 9 years old and begins June 16 with 2, 4, 6, and 8-week options available.
