Miami Women Who Rock Present "Stiletto Strut" Benefit for the WBHI
Participants will “strut down” a red carpet runway in their 3-inch heels for this great cause. Contestants with the top three “Struts” will go home with prizes, including a pair of Gucci Stilettos! There will be celebrity judges including Miami’s Jay Marcos, a full circle artist, spokesman, emcee and professional dancer who has worked in TV, film and music videos. He is a big supporter of Women’s Health charities and the creator of Videosync and currently the “20-story dancing silhouette” on the Intercontinental Hotel in Downtown Miami.
To enter the “Stiletto Strut”, participants can register at http://www.flbreasthealth.com for a suggested $25 donation fee – all proceeds to benefit the Women’s Breast Health Initiative, Florida Affiliate. Registration also includes access to Bloomie’s VIP Lounge featuring nibbles & sips, beauty stations and more.
This event marks the kick off for the MWWR Annual “You Rock” Acknowledgement Awards on October 23rd. “This annual event acknowledges Women from various walks of life that “Rock” because of their strength, resilience, heart, dedication, service and commitment to the Miami Community,” says Emily Zubizarreta, Founder of Miami Women Who Rock. MWWR is proud to announce Andrea Ivory as one of the 2014 recipients. Andrea Ivory is the Founder and Executive Director of the Breast & Heart Initiative in Florida. CNN, American Red Cross, The Miami Herald and so many other organizations have nationally recognized Andre Ivory for her incredible work with the WBHI. As a breast cancer survivor, Andrea Ivory knows firsthand that early detection is key to saving lives.
