VENTURA, Calif. - May 7, 2014 - PRLog -- The Law Offices of Bamieh & Erickson, PLC is proud to announce the release of founding partner Ron Bamieh’s first book, “How to Hire a Lawyer.”  The manuscript is a comprehensive guide to help everyday people find and hire the right lawyer for their case.

Mr. Bamieh’s book explains how legal advertising and promotion takes advantage of prospective clients’ ignorance.  He provides information on what mistakes to avoid and what questions to ask during your legal consultation.  He encourages readers to focus on things such as home court advantage, the way a lawyer’s office is run, and to always avoid the shark.

Ron Bamieh stated, “A conversation with a client prompted me to write this book.  The client and I sat in the courthouse, watching lawyers walk past.  The woman looked concerned and said to me, “all of these lawyers look the part, they are dressed nice, and have briefcases – How can anyone tell the good ones from the bad ones?”  When I returned to the office that day, I thought about what my client said.  I decided to see if I could put something in writing to educate people on the differences between good and bad lawyers.”

“I wanted to write a book that was easy to read, because this material is really important.  The book was originally 300 pages, but we edited it down to something you could read in a day.  My intent was to make a user manual with common sense advice based on everything I have learned during my career practicing law.”

“We started off giving the books away, but since people kept asking for them, we decided to make them available to the public and price them to cover production.”

Mr. Bamieh has been speaking throughout Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties on the topic of his book, and his speeches have been well received.  Audiences have enjoyed the practical information delivered with a sense of humor and a few laughs.  “Educate, empower, and entertain,” said Mr. Bamieh.
