Hundreds of thousands of people cast their votes in the annual competition, and this year’s flurry of popular support of the 2014 Top 100 contestants was no exception. America has once again demonstrated its immense interest and supportiveness for moms building businesses as they also tend to their families.
“I’m so honored to be part of the Top 100,” said Gleason. “Never in a million years would I have guessed that I’d be an entrepreneur, have the best of both family and work lives, and thoroughly enjoy what I do.”
Through her consulting firm, Gleason strives to empower others to create their dream lifestyle. She has helped several clients do so, including the winner of the 2014 Small Business ICON contest, Lisa Macqueen of Cleancorp, a commercial office cleaning company based in Australia. With Gleason’s help, Macqueen automated various business processes, which resulted in enormous growth in customer satisfaction, an increase in clientele as well as the opportunity to take vacation days and spend more time with her family.
While Gleason takes pride in helping other small business owners and entrepreneurs increase their sales and customer base, she also is incredibly proud to build her own team. This group includes virtual assistants, coaches, graphic designers, copywriters, Web developers and a public relations assistant. “Every one of these individuals is a mom,” Gleason explained.
