It is a known fact if one is diagnosed with diabetes yet refuse to treat the disease, it could lead to amputation and in extreme cases death. Such is the case with any physical illness that needs medical attention. Such should be the case when it comes to medical attention for the mind. Based on his personal experiences Garry Jones has become a go-to person for the subject of mental health.
With a formal education in Criminal Justice, Jones graduated from North Carolina Central University and is author to the following titles:
1. Straight Out of Hell 1, Wrong Place Wrong Time
2. Straight Out of Hell 2, The True Character of a Man
3. I Wasn’t Raised to Play By Their Rules
In addition to authoring books, Jones is a diversified speaker; his mind-body-spirit topics educate audiences. Diagnosed with depression at a young age, Jones’ has learned to live with the emotional rollercoaster associated with the depression. After dismissing the doctors diagnosis Jones went on to become quite successful in his career, family, sports, and as an activist.
However, left unattended coupled with the strain of his career (Department of Justice – FBOP) Jones was forced to retire from issues related to anxiety and depression.
