PRLog - May 7, 2014 - BRUSSELS, Belgium -- Transwide, the modular Transport Management System by Wolters Kluwer Transport Services, has been named this year as a Top 100 Logistics IT Provider by Inbound Logistics magazine, the leading magazine for the logistics industry, based in the US.
Inbound Logistics Magazine names Transwide Top 100 Logistics IT Provider 2014
Editors from Inbound Logistics researched and analysed more than 400 companies before selecting their top 100 technology providers, who are leading the way in 2014. Each of them had to demonstrate a clear understanding of shippers’ logistics and supply chain challenges, offer solutions that are central to solving these issues, and provide well documented evidence of customer successes.
“As the only supplier of on-demand software solutions and services that meet the needs of carriers, freight forwarding companies and shippers, we are delighted and proud to have been recognised by Inbound Logistics for our Transwide TMS. It is a validation of our strategy to develop solutions creating greater efficiency and business value in operational and strategic transport management,”
“Congratulations to Transwide on the distinct honour of being chosen one of the Top 100 Logistics IT Providers for 2014”, offered Joyce Kupetz, Supply Chain Manager for Kerneos Inc. US, a global leader in aluminate technologies with a presence in 120 countries. “We began using Transwide TMS successfully in 2013 and were pleased by its quick and positive acceptance amongst our customers and transportation providers in the US, Canada and Europe.”
Felecia Stratton, Editor, Inbound Logistics, said: “We are delighted to honour Transwide for enabling partners in a logistics network to increase their operational and economic performance through optimised communication, planning, visibility and cost management. Connecting more than 18,000 logistics service providers, Transwide enables an increasing number of shippers, including Inbound Logistics readers, to source, plan, execute, settle and analyse their transport operations with maximum cost efficiency.”
Using questionnaires, personal interviews and other research, Inbound Logistics selects the Top 100 companies, who must show industry leadership and offer solutions designed to meet business logistics managers’ transportation, logistics and supply chain challenges. Providers needed to demonstrate that their solutions reflect the magazine’s readers’ needs for simplicity, ROI and efficient implementation.
This year’s Top 100 Logistics IT Providers include those serving Fortune 1000 companies, as well as small and medium-sized businesses.
