ASIS Boats gets the license to use “Sealegs” Amphibious Drive System

JEBEL ALI, UAE - May 7, 2014 - PRLog -- ASIS Boat will offer the 'Powered by Sealegs' system as an option on its entire range of boats / RHIB’s whether Aluminium or Fiber Glass hulled from 7.2 meters up to 12 meters and across all sectors, including the recreational marketplace, commercial and military sectors.

ASIS Boats, is the only manufacturer worldwide outside New Zealand, who is licensed to the use the patented, amphibious boat technology of “Sealegs”.

The “Sealegs”system consists of motorized, retractable and steerable wheels which are fitted to give users a fully integrated, turn-key package.

The “Sealegs” system works by having powerful motorized wheels which give a user variable speed of 0-10km/h (forward and reverse) significantly reducing the hassle of launching and retrieving boats

With the “Sealegs” system, the ASIS boat / RHIB can be driven, down a boat ramp or beach and into the water - all with the occupants staying in the boat and remaining completely dry!.

Once in the water, the wheels are easily retracted into the "UP" position and are completely out of the water. The boat is then driven and used as normal. The system does not affect in anyway the handling of the boat. When approaching land, the wheels are lowered into the "DOWN" position whilst still moving in the water.It is then simply a matter of trolling towards the beach and the wheels will touch the bottom and drive the boat up onto land. The occupants can then disembark, totally dry and safe.

The “Sealegs” system utilizes all submersible components and is Salt Water ready.
