LOS ANGELES - May 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Imagination Worldwide, LLC, an international motion picture sales and distribution company, has acquired GO FAR: THE CHRISTOPHER RUSH STORY, representing the film internationally and domestically.  Selected for their reputation on being a filmmaker friendly company, producer Zack Arnold and Imagination’s President and CEO Lawrence Goebel pledge their unified goal to continue Chris’s journey of inspiration to those with disabilities and to make this film available to the largest and targeted audience possible.

GO FAR:  THE CHRISTOPHER RUSH STORY chronicles the inspirational life of Christopher Rush, a quadriplegic, and National Muscular Dystrophy Association poster child, who lived with muscular dystrophy from birth to his death at the age 30, well beyond his predicted two years of life.  Chris achieved extraordinary goals despite impossible odds and left behind a philosophy of life for all of us to follow. GO FAR is a motivational film that will teach and inspire not only persons with disabilities but also everyone, to follow their dreams and achieve them, no matter the obstacles. Featuring Tony Orlando, Jerry Lewis, and narrated by Chris’ childhood hero and inspiration – Mark Hamill, of Star Wars fame.

Imagination has always focused on working closely with producers to market and distribute their films strategically, through long-standing alliances and output deals with leading distributors in all the major territories of the world.  “Documentaries are often a challenge to distribute through traditional channels, but all of us at Imagination were so touched by this exceptional film about an amazing individual, Christopher Rush, that we couldn’t say no.  We truly want to do our part in getting Chris’ message heard, and are honored to be working towards this goal with producer Zack Arnold,” comments Goebel.  Imagination will be featuring GO FAR in their film catalog at Cannes Film Market May 14 – 23, 2014.

Imagination employs a dedicated staff of professionals, with expertise in all aspects of sales, distribution, marketing and servicing and have created a strategic distribution plan to attract the attention of distributors worldwide to consider this film for release in theatres, on television and through home entertainment and emerging digital platforms worldwide.  Initial plans are to build awareness via the film festival route in hopes to capture a niche audience, while possibly winning some awards and accolades.  Imagination will travel to all the major film markets internationally to meet with distributors and negotiate the sale of foreign territory rights, while preparing the domestic release with hopes for a TV or cable pick-up, followed by the DVD/VOD release later this year.

In addition, filmmaker Zack Arnold intends to take the show on the road with a grassroots effort to screen the film, for free, at institutions, hospitals, and support groups where both children and adults with disabilities can watch the film in a group setting and hold a discussion, led by the filmmaker, after the screening.  This effort is exactly the outreach that the GO FAR program was intended for when Christopher was still alive.  “I am simply continuing in Chris’ footsteps.  His motivational message must and will continue to be heard,” implies Zack Arnold, filmmaker and best friend to Christopher Rush.  Donations are being accepted via the official website for those wishing to contribute to funding the grassroots campaign at www.gofarmovie.com.
