Authorize.net now allows Electronic Cigarette merchants to use their Gateway

Authorize.net is now allowing e-cig vendors to access their payment gateway with a little help from eMerchantBroker.

May 6, 2014 - PRLog -- E-Cig merchants can now use authorize.net with eMerchantBroker as a payment gateway. This is fantastic, as e-cig merchant account holders were once prohibited from using the payment gateway.

EMB accepts and caters to many types of businesses including high-risk businesses. E-cig vendors fall into this category, as they are perceived to be a riskier type of product to sell, due to its “fad” reputation. Only time will tell as to whether or not e-cigs will hang around, but until then your business will more than likely be stuck in the high-risk category. That is where you need to be careful, as many merchant account processors and payment gateways such as Authorize.net are hesitant to deal with e-cig vendors. That being said, EMB can now get your e-cig merchant account approved using Authorize.net’s trusted payment gateway.

First off, you would need to head over to eMerchantBroker and sign up for your merchant account with EMB. The process is quick and easy, and your store or e-store could be accepting plastic card payments in as little as 72 hours. Afterwards, you can hopefully obtain access to Authorize.net’s payment gateway. The Authorize.net’s payment gateway is available 24/7/365 for processing transactions. We also offer a number of value-adding services to assist merchants in managing their businesses and protecting themselves from fraud. Additionally, the free Authorize.Net Verified Merchant Seal could be added to a merchant's website to help build consumer confidence.

Authorize.net and EMB have rave reviews in the merchant world, and by using both you can help your business by implementing the best technology available to high-risk merchants. While Authorize.net is still not accepting accounts from e-cig vendors, it is possible to access their gateway if you have a merchant account with EMB.
