Knew The News launches the World Cup Special

Designated prediction center provides comprehensive forecast to upcoming FIFA World Cup

PRLog - May 6, 2014 - The most sophisticated special within the news prediction site Knew The News by now was launched to the public and invites all soccer enthousiasts to participate in the competition to become the best FIFA World Cup predictor, offering rewards for the best players.

A single special page available on http://www.knewthenews.com/Specials/2014FifaWorldCup consolidates all questions on which players predict the outcomes. These are not limited to the obvious "who will win the world cup" question or the "predict the match winner" questions, but integrates numerous other questions. In addition, the page provides real-time updates to news surrounding the world cup. And, of course, keeps the player informed on how well he is performing in comparison with all others players, or just his friends on Knew The News.

"The FIFA World Cup is a major sports event and almost all people I know claim they can predict the results. Now I can challenge them to put their money where their mouth is," says Constantinus van der Kruijs, founder of Knew The News. "Of course it's just playmoney, so it will only impair their reputation - not their wallet - if they lose. If they perform well, Knew The News honours their achievements with real world prizes."

In contrast to polls which try to forecast the results by performing one-time surveys, a player on Knew The News actually buys stakes on the outcome and is able to trade those. Trades performed on a question are calculated into a certainty of an outcome which is used to determine the payout on settlement of the question.

The FIFA World Cup 2014 Special is available now and will be closed on the world cup final match, proclaiming the winners of the rewards shortly after.

Knew The News is a  free online news prediction game. Players trade virtual money on future events to compete with fellow players on several leaderboards representing their individual expertise on topics such as politics, sports, business, entertainment, science and technology.
