PRLog - May 6, 2014 - KEY WEST, Fla. -- January 20, 2014 – Project Atticus buys The Seawolf, a 1963 Allied Seawind 30' Ketch Rigged Sailboat (Hull #33) to refit and sail around the world on a budget, marking the beginning of their travel adventure and video web series.
New Sailboat Owners!
Jordan and Desiree, founders of Project Atticus, hope to add to the list of sailors to circumnavigate the world aboard an Allied Seawind 30, the first fiberglass sailboat in the world to circumnavigate in 1969, a feat accomplished by Alan Eddy aboard the Apogee (Hull #11).
Ahead of them lies the challenge of refitting a 51-year-old neglected sailboat. Neither of them has ever done anything like this before.
The couple founded the video web series, Project Atticus, to document and share their journey of buying, refitting, and sailing around the world on a budget. Project Atticus releases periodic videos to highlight their struggles and feats and to delve into the unique cultures and societies that they encounter along the way.
