Fit To Be Kids, Inc. Partners with the Mission Viejo Family YMCA To Give Deserving Children New Bikes

MISSION VIEJO, Calif. - May 6, 2014 - PRLog -- As physical education becomes less available due to state budget and the rate of childhood obesity and diabetes rises exponentially, the YMCA of Orange County and Fit To Be Kids, Inc. have stepped in to provide some essential services to our young community.

On April 29, 2014, 23 students started an 8 week health and wellness program called the ‘Earn a Bike’ program hosted by the Mission Viejo Family YMCA.  These students will participate in health and wellness classes such as basketball, yoga lessons, and nutrition classes; which will be attended by both the students and their parents.  The students will graduate from the program at 11:30 AM on June 21, 2014 at El Toro Park in Lake Forest, and will receive their brand new bicycle, helmet, and lockin recognition for their hard work and dedication to their personal well-being.
