Dear Friends of DLA:
It has been a while since we’ve communicated with you! So, we’d like to take this opportunity to share some noteworthy changes that have occurred within the life of our organization. First, I’d like to share that DLA co-founder, Christine French, has decided to embrace a life passion by launching a new business venture for her grandsons and spend more precious time with her family.
Rest assured that we are committed to the vision of guiding individuals and organizations in the transformation of cultures to build inclusive communities. To that end, we have enlisted the support of long-time DLA board member, Joanna de'Shay, to lead our organization as we move forward in the development of a future-focused strategy. Joanna is uniquely qualified to leverage the best of our institutional knowledge while welcoming technological advances to prepare our organization for the future and help us to serve you more effectively. With her 15 plus years in Corporate America in Community Relations and Fundraising working with APS, ASU, the Black Chamber and many other organizations, she is well positioned to continue the success of the DLA and help realize the vision that Christine and I had for the organization some 13 years ago.
Some of the projected changes include: A more robust, interactive website with resources at your fingertips, more engaging, thought-provoking workshops and even more dynamic workshops/speakers at future annual conferences. We will share additional details on these plans and programs as the year unfolds. In the meantime, we thank you for your commitment. We cannot continue these accomplishments without your support. We look forward to our continued partnership.
