BOSTON - May 6, 2014 - PRLog -- On Saturday, May 17th, TheBlackManCan Institute - Boston will make its way to Shady Hill School engaging boys in grades PreK - 8th grades with motivational and empowering activities to build self-worth. Workshops include Academic Excellence, Leadership, Positive Self-Identity, Financial Literacy, Being Well-Dressed, and Building Brotherhood.  Parents and teachers can register boys in grades PreK - 8 grades for free by visiting http://tbmcinstitute.theblackmancan.org/ (http://tbmcinstitute.theblackmancan.org/).

Keynote Speaker, Lenny A. Williams, is the CEO of Design by LAW: Creating a Mind without Borders. Using L.A.W. an acronymn of his last name to invoke empowering change for students, Lenny uses his own story of having a rough past and no interest in schooling with only 3 credits at one point as a college freshman to gaining a scholarship that paid for his education for two years. Lenny is now working on a documentary, “CHANGINGLIVES”, a 5-part series and has spoken to over 150 schools since 2012. http://youtu.be/LwGQOi-Q8CU



All young men attending the Institute will receive a copy of Brandon’s debut title,Define Yourself, Redefine the World: A Guided Journal for Black Boys and Men (http://theblackmancan.org/), which is now available at Baltimore City College curriculum for their African-American men’s program and is being used as a therapeutic starting point for empowerment, self-love, and forward progress for young males.
