Meyerkord & Russell Changes Name to Meyerkord, Russell, & Hergott After Adding New Attorney

After Attorney Hergott earned his bachelor’s degrees in philosophy and psychology from the University of Kansas, he studied law at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, where he graduated within the top 10% in his law school class. Upon graduating, he was selected by the law school faculty for the Order of Barristers (making him one of only 10 in his class to receive this honor), and he received CALI awards for his academic excellence in civil litigation drafting and civil procedure. While he was a law student, Mr. Hergott served on the staff of the UMKC Law Review and of The Urban Lawyer, and he served as a competitor on the UMKC National Moot Court Team.

Attorney Hergott has earned the notable achievement of becoming a graduating member of the Ross T. Roberts Inn of Court Trial College, as well as a participant in the Bar Leadership Academy of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA). He has already started showing qualities of leadership, as he serves on the Board of Directors of the KCMBA’s Young Lawyers Section, specifically as Vice Chair of the Special Projects Committee. He also gives back to his community, volunteering for the Volunteer Attorney Project.
