Shadoe Stevens has one of the most recognizable voices on the planet & joins Steve Benz on The Blend

The Blend with Steve Benz – American Radio Host, Actor & On Air Personality Shadoe Stevens joined Steve Benz on the nationally syndicated show to talk about his career, inspirations and his new project: Blackout Television.

LOS ANGELES - May 5, 2014 - PRLog -- Chicago, IL. – Shadoe Stevens has one of the most recognizable voices on the planet, but this innovator has done what most in the industry only think about.

“Shadoe Stevens is one of those guys that I wanted to be. I remember hearing his voice on American Top 40 and seeing him on the Hollywood Squares and thinking, if this guy can do it, why cant I be on tv and radio. After noticing how nice his hair looked and feeling jealous, I choose radio,” said laughingly Steve Benz of syndicated show, The Blend.

“I was lucky, I always worked hard and Life Magazine helped launch my career as a boy when they named me “the world's youngest D.J. I was djing at my hometown station KEYJ in Jamestown, North Dakota,” said Stevens. “I grew up in a really close family. My parents brought me to San Diego State University to look at the school, I noticed that everyone was cool and they all knew I wasnt, so I ended up back in North Dakota and worked my way through school with radio,” said Shadoe with a straight face.

“Shadoe Stevens has broken new ground where ever he worked. After graduating from college he left to the top DJ in Boston only to end up in Los Angeles doing radio and television, but now he was one of the “coolest” people I media,” said Steve. “Shadoe is listed in the media history books and thats the model that I try to follow.”

Shadoe Steven's list of accomplishments can be found on his website including Cabo Wabo radio, ShadoeVision, Loose Cannon, Hollywood Squares, authoring 4 books, television and movie appearances, the list is long, but his latest venture BlackOut Television is something that could only come from someone ahead of his time, like Stevens.

“I have a lot of television projects going on, and one of them started out as a podcast. Its really funny, and I created a show called BlackOut Television and its an all black cast of improv actors. Its the funniest people I've met in 20 years. Its a parody of a all black network, like a BET. They do a parody of Good Morning America called Morning Black Out,” said Stevens. “Its a morning show for black people that try to get up in the morning.” You can hear Benz laughing in the background.
