The Haitian Heritage Museum will take part in Haitian Heritage Month with a series of events and programming throughout the entire month. The Haitian Heritage Museum will celebrate by having a cadre of events throughout the community where Haitians and non-Haitians alike can come get a taste of Haitian culture without leaving or needing a passport. Haitian Heritage Month is a nationally dedicated time where the Haitian community celebrates the culture and traditions of Haiti. The celebration is an expansion of the Haitian Flag Day on May 18th, a major patriotic day celebration in Haiti and the Diaspora created to encourage patriotism.
The Haitian Heritage Museum is a non-profit organization that is committed to highlighting and preserving Haiti’s rich culture and heritage globally. Our goal is to provide a cultural Mecca for South Florida where individuals both within and outside of our community can come to enjoy beautiful Haitian art, historic artifacts, ethnic sounds of Haitian music, view Haitian films and enjoy a collection of Haitian Literary works. Through Art, Education, Technology and Media we hope that by providing this experience to the public we can expose the phenomenal contributions that Haitians have made as a people, which will in turn create a cultural legacy for the future generations.
