CHICAGO - May 3, 2014 - PRLog -- One of the most important elements of any wedding is the photography, as Will Knight of http://www.willknightphotography.com explains:

Many couples find that the excitement and joy of their wedding day means that it often passes by so much faster than they realise. Capturing the perfect wedding photographs is one way in which a wedding photographer can ensure that those magical moments are treasured forever, just as they should be".

While there are a range of themes and moods that can be used for wedding photographs – from modern, reportage-style pictures to more classic shots, I always ensure that my top 10 pictures are included for every couple.

Based in Chicago, IL, but operating as far afield as Orlando, FL, and Scottsdale, AZ, Knight’s wedding photography business provides a personalized service designed to suit every couple’s individual preferences. Despite the personalized service, there are some classic shots that every couple should ensure are in their collection. In that spirit, Knight reveals the top 10 photos that every wedding photographer should get:

There are 10 essential shots at every wedding, regardless of the location, the style or the size of the event. They can be grouped into five categories.

Firstly, there are the ‘before’ images – one of the groom getting ready and one of the bride having her makeup or hair done. The couple are apart at this point, both full of nerves and excitement and seeing these two images afterwards gives each of them a glimpse into the other’s preparations.

Next, there are the classic magical moments – the first kiss, the first dance as man and wife, and the cutting of the cake. All three of these images can be captured in a wide range of different styles, using creative lighting to set the mood, but captured they absolutely must be!

The inanimate objects category is really important as well. Shots in this range include the bride’s bouquet, the rings, the bridal shoes and the favors that have been provided for guests. The happy couple will have spent hours planning and selecting all of these items and close-up photographs of them, with good quality of light highlighting their beauty, are extremely important as part of the overall photography package.

Of course, the classic image of the full wedding party is also essential. From a formal pose to the whole group laughing or simply milling around, this is an image that the married couple will treasure as part of their collection.

Finally, I think it’s incredibly important for the wedding photograph to capture those unplanned, intimate moments that are completely natural, such as a candid shot of the bride and groom enjoying a rare, peaceful moment alone together in the midst of the celebrations, or a shot of them laughing together over a shared joke.

Together, this set of 10 images will ensure that every couple has a perfect record of the memories of their happiest day.”
