Liliana Ricano is the current master cigar roller at Rodriguez & Menendez Cigar Factory. She has been hand rolling custom-made cigars for more than 55 years. As a young woman, she received formal training in one of Cuba's specialized schools that teach how to properly roll cigars. After her training, Ricano worked as a roller for Partagas in Cuba before coming to the United States to work with Rodriguez & Menendez.
Ricano has been in the States for more than 15 years. In that time, she has passed the tradition of hand rolling quality cigars down to her son. She has been the master roller for Rodriguez & Menendez for the past eight years.
"We are honored to have Liliana be such a crucial member of our staff," says Mike Casale, General Manager at Rodriguez & Menendez. "Her extensive talents with rolling cigars have helped us to create superior cigars for our customers since day one, and as our master roller, she has helped us to refine our custom tobacco blends whenever we want to try something new."
