Wokingham is looking up, it's an amazing place to live!

A number of projects have been announced or cleared that show Wokingham to be a town that has plenty of things going on, and new developments that will continue to make the place dynamic and forward-thinking for the generations to come.

One of the biggest developments has been the recent Cross Rail extension. It is widely expected that this extension well help to bring more people to Wokingham for a number of reasons. This will obviously have a positive effect on the housing market, and add to the vibrancy of the town. The direct line to the town from London is also expected to bring in more house buyers from the city. The London effect would increase the value of houses in Wokingham and add to the overall prosperity of the area.

New train station

The new train station itself can only bring new jobs to the area. This rise in employment can add more value to the area and make it more ‘employable’, as it were. Bringing more jobs to local people will also improve prosperity, and therefore also add to the general financial dynamism in the town. With the new rail development the train station will continue to thrive and continue to bring jobs and financial improvement to Wokingham.

There is also good news in the education department in Wokingham. With the first of the series of free schools being developed, this means that there are going to be more primary school places in the town. With more primary school places comes more people, and while it may have been frustrating in the past to find a good primary school place in the town, with a new provision things can only get better. This can also have a knock-on effect with parents from other towns wanting to move into Wokingham due to the increase in primary school places. It’s a good place to go to school, but it had limited private school places. With new free schools being created that problem should ease.

So there is a lot going on in Wokingham. With all of this activity, the outcome will mean more interest in the town, more housing and more prosperity.
