Vietnam War Veteran Picks up the Pieces: Spreading Hope after Tragedy

BEDFORD, Texas - May 1, 2014 - PRLog -- Daystar Television welcomes a new program to their lineup, Tragedy to Triumph with Dave Roever. The show, which premieres on Friday, May 2at 1:30 p.m. Eastern, will be available exclusively on Daystar.

Dave Roever is a decorated Vietnam veteran who, at the height of the Vietnam War, was burned beyond recognition when a phosphorus grenade he was about to throw exploded in his hand. It was a long, miraculous road to recovery, but Dave never lost his faith in Christ. He now travels the world, sharing his testimony while giving hope to those in dire circumstances. He has been blessed with the opportunity to minister in many different arenas, including churches, youth and men’s conventions, public schools, business conventions and within the U.S. military.

Dave is the recipient of numerous military awards, including the Purple Heart Medal, Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars. Additionally, he has been awarded the Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 1960 Device. His civilian awards include both an Honorary Doctor Degree and the Outstanding Civilian Service Medal from the US Department of the Army.

Based in Fort Worth, Texas, his successful program, Operation Warrior RECONnect, provides hope and healing for America’s warriors who have suffered injury, with an emphasis on bringing new focus and purpose to their lives.

In his show, Tragedy to Triumph, Dave Roever interviews individuals who have gone through Operation Warrior RECONnect, sharing their gripping and inspiring stories of war and recovery.
