Rosie’s passion for music has flourished from an early age. “Even as a child I could be found bashing chords out on the piano” she says. “With ‘Be Bold' I feel like I have put my marker in the ground, and really discovered the sound I am trying to achieve as an artist.
“The four tracks were written in the two years preceding the release. I have always struggled with being up front about my feelings, especially towards my family. These songs are all secret little confessions.”
The E.P. was made possible with the help and support of Rosie's friends and fans who provided the instruments, performances and studio time, allowing her to explore and focus on creating a specific sound without any financial constraints.
Tales of brutal honesty, deceit, family arguments, and romantic differences are all prevalent themes throughout Rosie’s work; she pulls out what’s living just under the skin and drapes it over memorable choruses and rhythmic piano grooves for all to see.
While the subject matter of 'Be Bold' may be ingrained with a real sense of its creator’s emotionally driven frame of mind, it soundly captures Bans’ love of melodic, piano led music and presents a confident, accessible portfolio of ideas that, says Bans, “Everyone will have experienced at some point in their lives”.
In addition to her position as resident musician at many of London's top piano bars, Rosie performs extensively throughout the UK, with recent live appearances including opening for Pete Doherty at an exclusive show in Nambucca, North London, and a private party in the House of Lords.
The official launch night gig for 'Be Bold' will be held on Friday 23rd of May 2014 at the Torriano Bar, Kentish Town, London. For more information, please visit http://www.rosiebans.com or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Acclaim for Rosie Bans
“…the EP as a whole…is a wonderful showcase for Bans’ bold and dramatic experimentation with fusing a variety of styles and syncopation in each of her songs. That these experiments prove so successful compound the fact that Be Bold is also a wonderful showcase for Bans’ supreme talent.”
- Plectrum - The Cultural Pick
"Some performers are like circus ringmasters when they are on stage. Rosie Bans was one such performer and she soon tamed the animals in the audience. Benefitting from a musical education and thus actually knowing what syncopation is, she adopted a direct approach to audience manipulation through the kind of slick songs and slap your face banter that easily marked her out as a proper entertainer and that’s a rare thing to see in Glasgow these days.
Job done, as they say." - Bluesbunny
Her voice has a soulful element with a contemporary musical style making her fresh and enjoyable to listen to. - Unsigned Britain
