James McGuinness & Associates, Inc., Poised for Growth in IT Sector with New Management Team

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - April 30, 2014 - PRLog -- James McGuinness & Associates, Inc., a Schenectady-based custom software and information technology consulting firm, named a new management team to position the company for growth in government services, commercial software, and consulting services.

James McGuinness was named chairman. He founded the firm 35 years ago and previously served as president. According to McGuinness, “We have assembled a strong management team with over 110 years of combined service to the firm. William C. Smith was named president. He previously served as senior consultant and has been with the firm for 26 years. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY. He and his family live in Rotterdam, NY.

Peter Bombard was named vice president of consulting services. He previously served as manager of consulting services and has been with the firm for 22 years. Bombard has years of project management experience, technical experience with systems from IBM/AIX to Oracle ERP to the latest Microsoft .NET development technologies. He holds four Microsoft SQL Server certifications. Bombard also holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with an Integral Honors Degree from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY. He is a member of the Project Management Institute. He and his family live in Glenville, NY.

Tim Frament was named vice president of government services. He previously served as manager of programming and has been with the firm for 22 years. For the past 15 years, he has worked with New York State counties to help them improve the efficiency and maximize reimbursement for their programs for children with special needs. Frament holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from Empire State College in Saratoga Springs, NY. He and his family live in Scotia, NY.

Christopher Weis was named vice president of commercial applications. He previously served as product manager and has been with the firm for 12 years. Weis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Philosophy from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY. He and his family live in Schenectady, NY.
