Not Just Bagels is Also Fundraising

HOWELL, N.J. - April 30, 2014 - PRLog -- For quite some time now, former accountant Antoinette Crudo has been creating bakery masterpieces and unusual cream cheese spreads for bagels and such at Not Just Bagels (http://www.notjustbagels-howell.com) on Rt. 9 North in Howell. Gushing lemon squares, huge cinnamon rolls and crum cake on steriods are only a few of her wonderful baked creations customers often line up for. Then, there are cream cheese spreads with bananas and nuts and one with cherries. There are also bagels and fundraisers for local charities.

Fundraisers for local charities? This is something new at Not Just Bagels, but very much a part of owners' Anthony and Antoinette Crudo's giving-back-to-the-community belief system.

It all goes back to their own personal situation as two aging baby boomers with good corporate accounting careers left in the dust during downsizings during the recent Great Recession. It's a common American tale, these days; people too young to retire, but designated too old to work by many employers, option for younger and less expensive talent.

One door closes and another opens, they say. America is the land of opportunity and the Crudo's are living that as their excellent business acumen and love of good food has lead them to new found success with Not Just Bagels. And, their customers are very glad they are baking up a storm and selling great items.

Not Just Bagels is a socially conscious business that is ready to gives back to their communities by running fundraisers for groups that include: schools and colleges, EMS, fire, police and first aid departments, libraries, veteran organizations, fraternal organizations, charities for those suffering and in need and more.

Not Just Bagels has just begun to reach out to the community looking for groups to help. The store will donate 15% of sales made during a four hour period for any group looking to raise funds for a variety of uses including uniforms, supplies, training, trips, stipends and more.

"We know how it is to need a hand up and giving back to the community is our way of doing the same for others," explains Antoinette. "Our store has become very popular in the area and this popularity makes it much easier for a fundraising group to take advantage off this popularity by easily enticing their group members and supporters to come out and participate.  It's a huge win for everybody."
