Spotlite Radio presents Debby Houston

LINCOLN, Neb. - April 30, 2014 - PRLog -- On Wednesday April 30th, 2014 at 12 noon EST, Spotlite Radio features Debby Houston, Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner at Houston Counseling. Debby will be speaking about her book titled "Mervous Tames OCD". Driven by her passion to see treatment reach beyond the counseling office into the family and community, she has written a new book to help children with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).  She has created a colorful storybook that follows a child as he learns to tame Bruno, the bully in his brain. In "Mervous Tames OCD", Dr. Deb teaches 8 yr old Mervous to objectify his problem and fight it as an external presence. He strives for emotional survival as he masters his condition. His mother and teacher team up to help Mervous overcome challenges both at home and school.

Therapists, teachers and parents will welcome this practical, colorful resource. She inspires parents to be unafraid as they teach children about the disorder and the remedy. She encourages cooperation among therapists, children, parents and teachers and joins them on the healing journey via her character, Doctor Deb.
