Women entrepreneurs were given the opportunity to pitch their businesses to a panel of 4 season business owners who provided feedback as to the viability of their business. The evening was filled with entrepreneurial energy as metro area women gathered to meet and network amongst business professionals. The night was a great success!
A special thanks to the night’s panelists, Michelle Christie- founder of MACs Women, a global community for female entrepreneurs, Bridget O'Brien- CEO/Founder of Bridget O'Brien PR & Events and Ferlie Almonte- Reinvention, Authority Image/Style Consultant for their time, devotion and coordination of this spectacular event.
Congratulations to Joan Grangenois-Thomas for winning the MACs Women Perfect Pitch contest! Check out her winning pitch below:
The Village Square, will be a co working space providing efficient office space and comfortable environments in which to conduct business and spur collaboration. Users can access it when they need it for either two days a week or once a month. It will offer conference facilities, light printing, mail receipt, event space, and high-speed internet access on an a-la-carte basis or by membership. Joan also envisions that this space will contribute to the vibrancy of the community by being an incubator for ideas and projects that benefit the residents of Port Chester, NY. She anticipates opening her business by the end of 2014.
Joan Grangenois-Thomas describes The Village Square as a place where work, creativity and community come together, your office away from home! Joan wants to expand her current communications business but realized that working from home was not conducive to doing so. She had used co working offices in Manhattan and thought, “why not open one in Port Chester?” Then she attended the WEDC networking luncheon and met Jenifer Ross, owner of the W@tercooler in Tarrytown and knew she was onto something.
