Melrose Ballroom to host FREESTYLE FLASHBACK concert

ASTORIA, N.Y. - April 29, 2014 - PRLog -- New York has always been the Mecca of dance music. Since the late '80s a new form of dance music was created in New York City, full of expression, power and individuality- music created by and for a culture that they could identify with and call their own. A style that built the yellow brick road to techno, EDM and Pop, enjoyed by not only teenagers and 20 year olds, but by people of all ages– once known as "Latin freestyle" or "Latin hip-hop" evolved into what we now know as "Freestyle Music".
    " A Freestyle Flashback concert is exactly what New York needs, to remind us of our culture, growing up in New York City, and experiencing the evolving trend of dance music.." said Theoni Symeonidis. "This is why I had the idea of combining some of New York's favorite freestyle legends, and hosting this amazing event at Melrose Ballroom."
    On Saturday, May 3rd 2014, 9PM at Melrose Ballroom 36-08 33rd Street, Astoria NY 11106- a collective of 9 freestyle legends will join together to present the 2014 "Freestyle Flashback Concert". MCed by "Speedy" Melrose will be Featuring live performances by "SAFIRE", "TONY MORAN"(Latin Rascals), "DAVID" (Nice and Wild), "NAYOBE", “&MORE”, "GIGGLES", "LYDIA LEE LOVE", "JOYCE SIMS", "FACINATION" and music by DJ 1st Class and DJ KYS.
