Attorney Brent Dishman In Recent TV News Interview

As lead defense attorney on this case, Brent Dishman defends his client’s reputation and honor and claims that PTSD is to blame for his recent alleged outburst.

PRLog - Apr. 28, 2014 - OKLAHOMA CITY -- The news story is based on an Oklahoma Marine veteran who did four tours overseas and also served over in the most dangerous part of Iraq called the “triangle of death.” This man is now charged with 17 felony counts. He is being accused of violent behavior including kidnapping, sexual abuse of his wife while in front their children and he is also facing charges of assault. His wife has claimed that her and her husband were fine until his violent rampage last Wednesday. The attack allegedly happened at 9 p.m. at night and went on until 8 a.m. the next morning.

The reports state that the man strangled the woman and used kitchen appliances and different instruments to abuse her sexually. When law enforcement arrived at the scene the woman fled the house screaming and warned them that he had a gun.

The former Marine claims that he blacked out before the incident and he doesn’t remember his violent actions and threatening words. The man is resorting to his Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as a defense for his behavior but people have been questioning as to whether or not that is just being used as an excuse.

The news reporters then questioned Brent Dishman, lead defense attorney and former war veteran about the case. Attorney Dishman stated that he believes PTSD is to blame for the allegations against his client. One problem is that the defendant never sought help for his medical condition which makes an outburst like this far more likely to happen.

To further defend his client, Brent Dishman reminded the press that this former Marine is different man than he was before he joined the military. He underwent traumatic and life-altering experiences and saw distressing things that he still struggles with to this day.

The defendant’s Uncle also spoke on behalf of his nephew’s character and said that didn’t sound like something he would do. He reminded them the reports that Marines are trained to be killing machines and it is very difficult to adjust once you are home and supposed to live like an everyday American citizen.
