Optometry Office Exclusively For Children Now Open In New Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. - April 28, 2014 - PRLog -- right Eyes Family Vision Care is opening a vision care clinic in the New Tampa area. This new location is the only optometry office in Tampa that caters exclusively to children. Bright Eyes Kids will provide services just to infants, children, and teenagers because children who are still growing have different visual needs than adults. There are 17 skills necessary for reading and writing in school, with being able to see 20/20 just one of them.

“Bright Eyes Kids was created to fill a specific need in the community. Many parents tell me they take children to pediatric dentists because they know that they will be comfortable and well cared for, and they would like the same for their child’s eyes and vision,” says owner Dr. Nathan Bonilla-Warford, who is residency-trained in children’s vision.

Bright Eyes Kids offers eye eyes for glasses and contacts lenses for children under 18 years old. There are also specialty services for kids. Vision therapy is provided for children who are struggling due to reduced visual skills. Orthokeratology is an option to provide clear vision without contacts or glasses. If parents are worried about their children’s vision worse year after year they can take advantage of the latest myopia control options.

Eye and vision exams are recommended between 6 months and 12 months of age, according to the American Optometric Association. . It is estimated that over 60% of problem learners have undiagnosed vision problems contributing to their difficulties.
