By: Hope International Church The special program includes: Sundays, May 4 and May 18, 10 am and 11:45 am: Roger Dorris is a missions’ consultant for the Eastern District of the Evangelical Free Churches of America. He and his family have lived and worked in Latin America for many years and now live in Pennsylvania. His talks are “Demographics of the Need” and “Questions People Ask About Missions.” Sunday, May 11, 11:45 am: Win Corduan, a professor emeritus of philosophy and world religions at Taylor University in Indiana, will address “Missions and World Religions.” He has authored numerous books, including “Neighboring Faiths: A Christian Introduction to World Religions” and “Pocket Guide to World Religions.” In addition, Paul Reid, one of the pastors at Hope International Church, will speak. Reid has traveled to a variety of countries to teach church leaders. He will present “Praying for Missions” at 10 am. Ernesto and Margaret Zavala from Ripe for Harvest work with deaf and hearing street children in Peru. They kicked off the special program on April 27. Hope International Church is one block from Route 20, across from Gore Place, on the Watertown line. The church is accessible by the No. 70 bus line. Hope International Church draws visitors from many MetroWest communities, including Allston, Arlington, Belmont, Boston, Brighton, Brookline, Cambridge, Concord, Lexington, Lincoln, Newton, Waltham, Watertown, Wayland, Weston and Winchester and area colleges and universities, such as Brandeis, Bentley, Harvard, and MIT.
