LEXINGTON, Ky. - April 27, 2014 - PRLog -- FutureCycle Press (www.futurecycle.org) is pleased to announce that poet Joan Colby has joined our editorial team as associate poetry editor. She will be evaluating book and chapbook manuscripts submitted to the press.

Colby's Selected Poems won the 2013 FutureCycle Poetry Book Prize, and she is currently serving as a judge for the 2014 competition. She is also on the editorial staff of Kentucky Review (www.kentuckyreview.org). Colby is retiring this spring, after 25 years, from her position as editor of Illinois Racing News, a monthly publication for the Illinois Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Foundation, so she can devote more time to poetry.

Colby joins press director Diane Kistner, senior poetry editor David Chorlton, and associate poetry editor Robert S. King. All but Kistner are working poets and writers with a substantial body of work to their credit. All have an abiding dedication to, and love for, poetry.

FutureCycle Press considers book and chapbook submissions year-round. Those wishing to submit work are strongly encouraged to read the guidelines before submitting: www.futurecycle.org/FutureCycleGeneralGuidelines.aspx. Individual poems and prose-poetic vignettes are also considered for the Good Works projects, thematically organized anthologies of work with all proceeds donated to related worthy causes. Open and already published projects can be found on the Good Works tab at the press website.
