“1. Know the ROI (return on investment) of everything you do.
Know the value of your time so you can determine not only what to spend your time on and what to delegate or ignore, but how much time you should spend on any given task or project.
2. Don’t allow your creativity to tempt you away from your real work.
Ideas are only as good as their execution. You must follow through to turn an idea into a reality, and then to promote it. This is often what separates the people who truly succeed from the people who are stuck at square one.
3. Commit to systems to promote your business.
Most people start a business out of a passion for what they do, not because they love marketing or sales, but continuous promotion is necessary to attract new customers or life-changing opportunities. Creating a system to promote your business, even something as simple as committing to making five sales calls and posting on social media once a day, can remove fear or negative emotions around sales and marketing.
The key is to ensure that each area of your business is constantly moving forward and running efficiently, just as the CEO of a large corporation would.”
