WASHINGTON - April 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Since becoming the accountant for Lawrence Executive Alliance of Professionals (LEAP), LLC a little over six months ago, Ms. Patty Gray has made an undeniable impact on the company. Her expertise, knowledge, and work-ethic have assisted LEAP during a time of tremendous growth, only further adding to the strengths of the exceptional staff that has helped make LEAP an award-winning firm.

Patty, who humbly acknowledges the impact that she has had on the firm, is not only a talented accountant, but a loving mother and advocate of a young daughter battling Rett Syndrome. A neurological developmental disorder that typically affects girls, Rett Syndrome is characterized by slowed development of the brain and loss of the ability to purposefully move limbs of the body after a generally normal first 6-18 months of life. Since her daughter was diagnosed, Patty has worked tirelessly to promote awareness of this disease through the Rett Syndrome Research Trust, an organization on the verge of finding a cure that could potentially reverse the effects of Rett Syndrome.

As though working full time, being a mother, and actively raising awareness and support for her daughter’s illness does not keep her busy enough, Patty has also been hugely instrumental in donating her time and resources to LEAP’s non-profit partner organization, LEAP Foundation DC. Volunteering in countless initiatives and helping to provide much-needed resources to a number of organizations throughout the D.C. area and around the world, Patty Gray knows no bounds when it comes to hard work and selfless service.

Patty will not only be honored with an award for her service to Lawrence Executive Alliance of Professionals (LEAP), LLC, but LEAP Foundation DC will also be making a donation to Girl Power 2 Cure, a non-profit foundation that is a part of the Rett University program. Rett University has created methods for children with Rett Syndrome to help them better develop communication skills and reading skills.

Dr. Clayton Lawrence, CEO and President of both LEAP and LEAP Foundation DC, stated when asked about Patty, “Rarely do you come across people like Patty, who not only excel professionally, but give selflessly to others in their communities despite being faced with enormous obstacles of their own. We are beyond grateful to have her as an invaluable member of the LEAP team, but even more honored to be able make this donation on her behalf. We hope that we can help make others aware of this illness and continue to see the medical advances that could potentially generate the cure for this disease one day soon.”
