Winning the Sportswoman Award required Caitlin to undergo a gruelling Tabata fitness test, a high intensity four minute cardiovascular workout. She was also tasked with completing 100 side planks in less than 4 minutes, something she managed in half the allotted time. Caitlin is keen to raise money for a number of charities including The Eve Appeal and also “Beauty with a Purpose.” In May she will be completing a skydive as well as doing a sponsored bag pack in Asda’s Paignton store. Caitlin also plans to raise money Torquay based Rowcroft Hospice by completing their Sleepwalk event in July.
Caitlin says “I have loved every minute. Through doing Miss Devon I have met amazing girls who have become great friends. Throughout the whole competition we were all there for each other.” She continues “my thoughts from doing it are to never give up. Always be true to yourself, you never know what you can achieve until you try.” Torquay Trainee Business Centre Manager Shabnam Dooley said, “We’re thrilled for Caitlin to be selected as one of the semi-finalists for Miss England, and wish her all the best with her fundraising and with the competition.”
