Follow on Google News | Brandon Hall Group Releases Mobile Learning Maturity ModelThis evaluation tool enables organizations to assess missing elements from their mobile learning program and provides a guided path toward a more optimized approach.
By: Brandon Hall Group The model, developed by Brandon Hall Group Chief Strategy Office Michael Rochelle and Senior Learning Analyst David Wentworth, looks at mobile learning as a delivery tool, not as a form of learning. The model has six elements – Strategy, Content Architecture, User Environment, Channels, Connectivity and Devices. Each element has four levels of maturity – Emerging, Developing, Standardized and Fully Optimized. “Our research shows that while about three-quarters of organizations are dabbling in mobile learning to some degree, most are doing so without a defined strategy,” Brandon Hall Group CEO said in releasing High-Performance Mobile Learning Maturity Model: Framework for Progress. “We used our research and case studies from high-performing organizations to create a tool to assess current state and follow a path toward improvement.’ Said Senior Learning Analyst David Wentworth, who authored the white paper: “At the heart of this model is an understanding that each organization is at its own unique point in the mobile learning journey. The goal is not for everyone to be at Level 4 – in fact few organizations will get there, at least not for all elements. The objective is to provide an organized path to progress so more organizations can take advantage of the potential of mobile learning.” For additional information about the research please contact CEO Mike Cooke: (561) 865-5017 or mike.cooke@brandonhall.com.
