PRLog - April 24, 2014 - AUSTIN, Texas -- Austin247TV is an Austin, Texas based "video" magazine online which already features general public articles about Austin's culture, music, art, entertainment, lifestyle and more, now, based on our growing population segment living in Central Texas, we thought it would be fitting to add a "LatinQ" page featuring some of the area's coolest stories and interesting people that make Austin, Texas one of the greatest cities in the world.
The meaning of LatinQ comes from visiting the Latin Quarter in Paris a few years ago. The diversity and influence of the Latin culture mixed with the European culture is an example of how a mixing of world cultures can create such a cool environment of student life, lively nightlife and bistros in a neighborhood surrounded by Universities and Hi-Tech industries, which in a way reflect the city of Austin.
The Latin Quarter got it's name from the Latin language once spoken widely in this part of the world during the middle ages. It was refered to as the International language of learning at that time.
Our new "LatinQ" segments will hopefully represent how the Latino/Hispanic culture in America is as imporant a part of the US history as any other.
