Leading New Jersey Packaging Association Announces Hall of Fame & Scholarship Dinner

WEST ORANGE, N.J. - April 24, 2014 - PRLog -- The New Jersey Packaging Executives Club (NJPEC (http://www.njpec.com/index.html)) will be holding its annual Hall of Fame & Scholarship Dinner (http://www.njpec.com/hall-of-famescholarship-dinner.html) on May 8th, at the Manor in West Orange, NJ.  Since 2003 the dinner has celebrated the achievement and contributions of top executives who have made a significant impact on the packaging industry.

         The 2014 NJPEC Hall of Fame Honorees are:

·     *John Downey, Vice President of Technology Driven Supplier Innovation, Global Supply Relations, The Estée Lauder Companies

·       *Joe Cicci, President & CEO, Color Optics by Arcad

·     *Doug Silady, EVP Of Package Development, Boom Creative Developmen

·      *Bernard Quennessen, Vice President, Package Concept Development, COT

·      *Grantges J. (Jack) Raymus, Packaging Professor, Rutgers University School of Engineering (In Memoriam

         The NJPEC May 8th dinner will also bestow scholarships to up and coming packaging students as well as a high-achieving members’ son or daughter who have demonstrated strong academic achievement.  NJPEC Scholarships (http://www.njpec.com/scholarships.html) include:

–NJPEC Scholarship: awarded to promising undergraduates or graduate students who are enrolled in a packaging science or packaging engineering curriculum.

–Dr. Frederick Rimmele Memorial Scholarship: awarded to a NJPEC member in good standing with a son or daughter who is a full-time undergraduate student at a fully accredited college or university, having completed 2 semesters with a GPA of 3.0 or higher

–The Kathleen Brady Zito Scholarship: given to an exemplary full-time undergraduate or graduate female applicant in each calendar year.

         “We are honored to recognize five individuals who have inspirational careers in purchasing, packaging and business development as well as shared their wisdom and generosity to educate others,” said Howie Greenberg, President of NJPEC and Sales Manager of Allstate Paper Box Company.   “The night should be very memorable and a wonderful networking opportunity for everyone involved in the packaging industry.”
