TPSL League President Brendan Keyes welcomed the move saying, “I have personally worked with the owner of the group on a previous enterprise and found him to be one of the best in the business. Not only will they help raise our profile through public and media circles, they will help to lift the portrayal of the league to a new professional level.”
The contract between the two parties was initiated a couple of months ago but both parties felt it prudent to leave the announcement until after the final matches of the season in order not to detract from the product.
The owner of MRSoccerGroup sees this as an opportunity to look forward but also to learn from what has passed throughout the season, “The TPSL is in its infancy in terms of longevity, but that doesn’t mean it needs to lag behind in press and public awareness, “ Marc Roseblade, owner of the group said. “Through a series of planned attacks, we will work alongside the TPSL clubs and help to grow their product into a desirable and well-oiled machine within what is a tough market.”
“Soccer is growing throughout the country and Texas has seen a relative boom in semi-pro and professional level clubs in recent times, so the market is a difficult one to crack. As a group of clubs, the TPSL have given themselves a foothold in the Houston and surrounding area and we aim to help them raise their game to the next level,” Marc continued. "The league's President Brendan Keyes has a vast wealth of experience in the soccer market and only enhances the standing of the league. With him at the helm, the league will go from strength to strength."
MRSoccerGroup will initially help to garner public support for the league through its domestic website and social media sites linked to Region3Soccer.com, but also with its European based site NotJustScottishFootball.com with which it can help raise awareness of the league and clubs on a truly global scale.
As part of the growth process, MRSoccerGroup has recently signed a media partnership with Stryker-Indigo Newswire in New York that will see it’s Region3Soccer.com news featured on the Boxscorenews.com website, a leading soccer newswire and allows a huge increase in readership and awareness through this medium for the TPSL and TPSL clubs.
TSPL is a US Club Soccer sanctioned league and currently plays with clubs from Houston, Conroe, Galveston and College Station. Expansion sides from Austin, Lockhart, Eagle Pass and Nacogdoches have all been accepted for play in the coming season with more to follow.
