American Society of Appraisers' Business Valuation Chairman To Teach, Promote Business Valuation

RESTON, Va. - April 23, 2014 - PRLog -- Faced with a growing demand for the highest quality business valuation education possible, the American Society of Appraisers' (ASA) Australian Chapter will host the Chairman of the ASA's Business Valuation Committee, Robert B. Morrison, ASA as a guest lecturer at their upcoming semi-annual educational conference, which is expected to draw business valuation professionals from throughout the region.  In addition, Morrison will serve as an ASA business valuation ambassador, helping to promote and answer questions on the profession to attendees from other appraisal disciplines.

The American Society of Appraisers, along with the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators, are founding members of the International Institute of Business Valuers (IIBV), with international business valuation education being handled by the IIBV.

Morrison, Managing Partner of Morrison Valuation & Forensic Services, in Orlando will travel more than 9,700 miles in May to Melbourne, Australia to teach two IIBV courses, Introduction of Business Valuation and International Cost of Capital, each spanning four days and including rigorous testing.  These represent the first two courses in a four-course Principles of Valuation series that is part of the requirement to earn the prestigious Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation from ASA.

To his teaching role, Morrison brings both the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation with the Intangible Asset (IA) appraisal specialty from ASA and more than 20 years of experience providing valuation, forensic and litigation consulting services.  In addition, he holds business degrees from the University of Central Florida and Miami University and is the current Chairman of the ASA's Business Valuation Committee and Vice-Chair Elect of the IIBV Board of Directors.
