Four Technical Drafting and Design students Kevin Velasquez (Ontario), Carlos Galdamez (West Covina), Rhiannon Britney (West Covina), Sukhdav Singh (Chino); and four Electronic students Samuel Arrieta (Monrovia), Cesar Bustamante (Anaheim), Jose Gomez (Azusa), Hyun Cha (Rowland Heights) will compete. These eight students qualified at the Regional SkillsUSA competitions and were invited to compete at the State level. Gold Medalists at this State competition in their respective events qualify for the privilege to compete at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC) to take place June 23-27, 2014 in Kansas City, Missouri. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA helps each student excel. SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit organization serving teachers and high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, including health occupations.
