KENT, Ohio - April 22, 2014 - PRLog -- The Kent State University College of Business Administration chapter of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO) will host a Brewing Entrepreneurship on April 30 at 6:30 p.m. at the Venice Cafe in downtown Kent.

The first half of the event will include elevator pitches by three current Kent State students, Brian Bowles, junior entrepreneurship major; Marc Carney, senior business management major; Robin Bonatesta, junior fashion merchandising major.

Ryan Holmes will be the featured speaker, founder of MadCap Brew Co. in Stow, Ohio, who will share his story of building his business.  Afterwards, Rick Schultz, CEO of Spectrum Surgical, will be available for a question and answer session about how he grew the company to a national presence.

The second half of the evening will be dedicated to a barside networking event.  President of CEO, junior business administration major Brandon Ritchey, said that his hope is that Brewing Entrepreneurship will allow for a relaxed environment for students and professionals to network and share their current projects.

“CEO chose to hold this event because it is a fun, less stressful and less formal twist on the classic networking event,” he said.  “It is a great way to see people connect and build business relationships while having a lot of fun at the same time.”

Kent State CEO is a nationally-affiliated student organization. CEO fosters the development of entrepreneurial skills in its members.  Sessions are held with outside business leaders, instructors and entrepreneurs who lead lectures, question and answer sessions and workshops to build students' understanding of the entrepreneurial experience.

Tickets for the event are $15 and include one drink and light food catered by Cajun Daves. Registration is online at http://www.brewingentrepreneurship.com/#!attend/csgz.
